Man Utd Have Worst Front Three of Big 6 PL Clubs, Says Neville

Gary Neville has claimed that Manchester United have the worst three strikers of the big six Premier League clubs.

Neville believes that Manchester City, Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur, Liverpool and Arsenal have better three strikers than Man Utd.

“United’s three forwards are the weakest of the top six. You think about Kulusevski-Kane-Son: United would take those three,” Neville said on his podcast.

“Arsenal have Saka-Jesús-Martinelli. Liverpool has Núñez, Díaz, Jota, Salah and Firmino; you would definitely pick three of them over the ones United have. You would even take the Chelsea one.

Neville also claimed that the Man Utd attackers are not as good as they should be. However, he praised Erik ten Hag and insisted the coach is making the most of the attacking players he has at his disposal.

He also admitted that Manchester United are improving under Ten Hag, but insisted they are not back yet.

The Old Trafford side currently sit fifth in the Premier League points table with 23 points from 13 games. Man Utd have won seven games, lost four and shared points in two in the Premier League so far this season.

The Red Devils are 11 points behind Arsenal, leader of the table. The Gunners have 34 points in 13 games.

Scoring goals has been difficult for the Red Devils

Man Utd also have the third worst goalscoring record out of the top 10 in the Premier League when it comes to goals scored. They have scored 18 goals so far in the English top flight this season. Among the clubs in the top 10 of the points table, only Chelsea and Crystal Palace have scored fewer goals.

Meanwhile, Man Utd suffered a disappointing loss to Aston Villa last week. Man Utd met Villa in an away game, with the home team posting a 3-1 victory over the Red Devils.

Villa established a two-goal lead in the first 11 minutes of the match as Man Utd got off to a rocky start. Man Utd, however, halved the deficit with Luke Shaw’s deflected goal just before halftime.

However, Man Utd’s comeback hopes were dashed when Villa restored a two-goal lead in the 49th minute. The Red Devils could not find their way back from there and lost the game and three points.
