In response to the 31-year-old, Carra took to his Twitter account and shared a key stat that he clearly believes shows he should be considered in Jurgen Klopp’s squad and may even be better than the Netherlands captain:

This is of course hilarious banter between the couple and also a glimpse into the minds of elite footballers and athletes.

Our current defender was backing himself and his team-mates, if he thinks the former Anfield star should be in the current team then he could easily misrepresent himself by saying he doesn’t believe in the talent of some or all of his current team-mates.

Our old defender is backing himself up and proving he’s not as bad as some would like to make him out to be.

However, all of these stats really show that Liverpool have had some tremendous goalkeepers in our history!
