Liverpool supporters were delighted to witness 16-year-old Ben Doak make his first appearance against Derby County and he certainly did not disappoint.
It looks like it will be a week that will continue to improve for the youngster, as David Lynch has reported that he is about to sign a new contract with the club:

Given that this is also his first professional contract, it is clear that Jurgen Klopp and the rest of the club’s hierarchy are huge fans of the young Scotsman and want to ensure he is tied down for many years to come.
From the reception the former Celtic youth squad received when he took his first step onto the Anfield pitch, it’s obvious that most of our fans are excited about what the future may hold for the talented attacker.
Helping the Reds start our Carabao Cup defense was clearly a proud moment for the teenager, as it was for his family, and putting pen to paper on a new deal will prove to be another memorable day in his fledgling career.
